Kyoto Ramen is a solid choice if you’re in the mood for ramen or Japanese fare. The restaurant itself is small, clean, and no-frills, allowing the focus to remain on the food which is quite tasty. I’ve been here twice, and on both occasions, my ramen arrived hot (but not scalding) and full of flavor. The cooks also present each bowl beautifully, perfect for an Instagram shot. You can choose your spice level (none, mild, medium, or hot), and I found the medium option to be just right: noticeable heat without overpowering the flavors. The only slight downside is the portion size. It’s not tiny, but both times I left feeling satisfied rather than completely stuffed, even after splitting an appetizer. If there’s one thing I’d like to see improved, it’s slightly larger servings. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to return the next time I’m craving ramen. While I also plan to explore other nearby ramen spots for comparison, Kyoto Ramen which I recommended, I doubt you’ll leave disappointed.

This is a lovely hole in the wall that serves fresh, crispy gyoza and rich, creamy ramen broths. I appreciated the wide range of available toppings, as well as the high quality chili crisp at each table. They also have chilled ramune. Great little spot for lunch!

We visited here for the first time yesterday afternoon before things got started for the Parade of Lights downtown, and I was very happy with everything! The only thing that was a bit odd were the restrooms, only because they share them with another restaurant and the way to get to them was a bit weird. Just be mindful of your surroundings when using them. Very easy to find and walk to, even with all the construction. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the gentleman that took our order at the counter was very nice and friendly! Atmosphere was open, bright, and inviting! Food wise, everything tasted great! I highly recommend the Gioza! The proportions of the ramen bowls were also very nice, not too much and not too little! I wish they would've had the sushi available, but I think we were there just a little too early for it. Service was quick and they brought our food to our table based on the number given at the counter when we ordered. Overall, I was very happy we decided to eat here and I recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a satisfying quick meal!

Went for the takoyaki but also got ramen. The noodles seemed to be just packaged noodles but were still pretty good. One of the soups (shoyu) was very salty but the other (black garlic) was pretty good and balanced. We got extra pork and at 3 it seems worth it. The other ingredients in the ramen were pretty good and the price was reasonable. The takoyaki seemed to maybe be pan cooked on site. However, this was not the case and they were prepared from frozen. The octopus was a little chewy but overall pretty good takoyaki. The filling has the proper consistency. The sauce was pretty good but a little sparse and it did not come with mayo. There were a few bonito flakes. The price was pretty high for the quality. Overall, maybe a 6/10 takoyaki. Service was quick and everything was very clean.

This is the most authentic Japanese ramen I've had in a long while. Highly recommend the black garlic ramen. The owner looked completely overwhelmed when tons of people lined up here after a rally, but he handled it so well and was super polite. I'm impressed at the quality here, even under such intense pressure.

Excellent lunch spot near 18th and California! Quick service, friendly staff, delicious food! They are decently busy but not too busy you have to wait 30 minutes for your food I had the Shoyu Ramen. Restrooms are for customers only. Very clean restaurant too!

We had wanted to eat here on our last visit to Denver, but they were closed. Eat there yesterday and it was absolutely phenomenal. The wait did not disappoint. We got the black garlic, tonkatsu, and chicken ramen in both extra spicy and wild. The service was great and the food was ready very quickly. The combination of flavors, quality of ingredients, and overall flavor could not be improved. Very well done. Thank you!

All the food here was great. Nothing will blow your socks off though. Stand out for me was their gyoza, which was flash fried leaving the crisp tender and flavors preserved. I also got the tonkotsu ramen. It was good, but I felt the stock was a bit watered down.
